WGFC Team Honored at EMS Council Awards Banquet

May 21, 2021

This is EMS Week across the Commonwealth and the United States. In fact, this is the 46th annual recognition of emergency medical services responders.

Each year, the Chester County EMS Council holds an award banquet to recognize the individual and organization accomplishments in our county. And while the pandemic prevented an in person event last evening, a virtual Zoom awards program was held. And, like most years, volunteers and career staff of the West Grove Fire Company were honored.

WGFC team members honored for excellence in EMS, including cardiac arrest saves included:

John Crowley, Nathan Delestienne, Eric Felker, Danielle Hughes, Charles LaGrossa, Mike Lindsey, Chrissy Miller, Mike Oaster, and Chris Slaymaker.

We are also proud to acknowledge WGFC EMS Manager Gary Vinnacombe who was given the Margaret Hoover Brigham Award last evening. Gary has served recently as EMS Council President, and played a critical role in how the County's EMS system has managed through Covid-19 for the last 15 months. This award recognizes an individual's long-term efforts in the development, leadership, promotion, and advancement of the Chester County EMS System and Council.

We congratulate all of this year's winners and highlight the continued excellence of the team at WGFC. Congratulations!
