AG Charter 6th Grader Sends Cards to WGFC

Firefighters at the West Grove Fire Company London Britain Station were treated to an unexpected surprise after an emergency call last week.

Upon return to the station, there were handmade greeting cards in their gear lockers, thanking them for their community service. Turns out the cards were a “random act of kindness,” part of a program started by the Avon Grove Charter School in West Grove.

Students in the 4th-6th grades were challenged to do random acts of kindness and raise money for families that were struggling during the pandemic. The school went through a “raise craze,” and nearly $80,000.00 was raised during the event.

One of those amazing students is Isabelle Moulsdale, a 6th grader. Bella raised about $250.00, handed out snack packs to the homeless, and created thank you cards for her local WGFC fire station. Each handmade card featured a 22 fire truck and a note inside.

WGFC salutes Bella and all the students at the AG Charter School – doing their part to help everyone get through this challenging pandemic. Congratulations and thank you!
