September 24 was a busy day for the West Grove Fire Company, with eleven emergencies dispatched.

While most days the WGFC is not quite this busy, our team of Firefighters and EMTs are always on the ready for whatever emergency is dispatched. Providing mutual aid to area fire companies is part of the assignment, just like we count on those fire companies to support the WGFC when we have a large incident. Our thanks to the Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company of Unionville for standing by in West Grove during the large incident in Newark, Delaware.

And thanks as well to the second graders at the Assumption BVM school, who were on a tour of Station 22 mid-morning when the calls started flowing in. They got to see first hand our department in action!

The West Grove Fire Company is a combination department (staffed by volunteers supplemented by career staff), with three stations operating out of West Grove, New London and London Britain. Responding to more than 600 fire calls and 2600 EMS calls each year, the Department provides fire, rescue and ambulance services to the greater Avon Grove community, with coverage in portions of Londonderry, London Grove and London Britain Townships, and all of Penn, New London and Franklin Townships, and all of the West Grove Borough.
