Today our WGFC EMS team had the honor of supporting Riddle Memorial Hospital EMS while they provided coverage to Crozer EMS. On Saturday, Crozer EMS Chief Robert Reeder suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while on duty. Chief Reeder was providing EMS coverage to a charity event in the City of Chester. Today he was laid to rest in a tremendous show of support from across the Commonwealth. Chief Reeder was known for his leadership abilities, his kindness and his passion for EMS. He was employed by Crozer EMS for 37 years, serving the last 20 as Chief.

West Grove EMS was joined by Trappe EMS (Montco Station 324) and Minquas EMS (Chesco Station 46). We would like to thank Riddle EMS for the opportunity to support them and Rocky Run Fire Company (RRFC) for their hospitality. RRFC provided our crews with a place to stay and provided breakfast and lunch for them. Their Fire Chief was kind enough to escort us to calls, ensuring a timely response. That kindness and generosity shown by Riddle EMS and RRFC were second to none and we're happy to have them as friends in the fire service.

Our thoughts are with our colleagues at Crozer EMS and the Reeder family.
