On Friday, October 19 at 1433 hours, the box alarm assignment was struck for an outbuilding fire in the 100 block of Den Road in Franklin Township. Rescue 22 was on the road finishing up a building pre-plan in the Jennersville area. Rescue 22 responded with three at the time of dispatch followed up by Ladder 22 with three, Engine 22-2 with four and Tanker 22 with two. Ambulance 22-1 also made the response.

Rescue 22 arrived to find smoke showing from the rear of a 10'x20' wood shed with an exposure to a detached garage and took the first due engine assignment. A 200' attack line was stretched and placed into service, while the officer hooked some ceiling of the shed to check for any extension. A nearby brush pile fire was the possible source of burning embers that ignited the roof and eaves of the building. The assignment was quickly reduced down to Rescue 22 and Engine 22-2. Engine 22-2 arrived and the crew assisted with checking for extension and stayed for the Chester County Fire Marshal to arrive and investigate.

Units were cleared in under an hour.
