A comprehensive five session annual Basic Vehicle Rescue review is underway through out the month of August. Training Objectives include:
Vehicle Stabilization & scene assessment, Door And Roof Removal, Dash Roll and Dash Lift techniques, EMS role at the accident scene, A Live cutting session will conclude the review where members will be challenged with rescue scenarios in which to apply their skills. This training is timely as the WGFC recently took delivery of new E-draulic ( battery operated ) rescue equipment from Hurst. To date the average attendance per session has been 22 members which is notable during one of the summers busiest vacation months.
