On Wednesday June 7th over 40 EMS and Fire Personnel from West Grove, Union Fire Company #1 and Keystone Valley Fire Department gathered at Station 2 for a training session on combating the opioid epidemic. Dr. Derek Isenberg, an attending Emergency Room Physician at Temple University Hospital who serves as the Medical Director for the 3 aforementioned agencies arranged for Dr. Kristin McCloskey to come out and host our quarterly training. Dr. McCloskey is a Toxicologist and put on an incredible presentation, educating first responders on several aspects of treatment and the emerging opioid epidemic. WGFC is proud to partner with the community in the fight to combat opioid addiction. Thanks Dr. McCloskey for an outstanding presentation and thanks to Union Fire Company #1 for a great dinner!
