WGFC in conjunction with the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus held a Basic Fire Police Course at Station -22. Twenty three members attended the course which included seasoned WGFC Fire Police, Firefighters, EMTs, and Line Officers. The course consisted of two classroom sessions, a practical session and written examination. WGFC has dramatically increased the number of members who can serve on traffic control assignments both emergent and non-emergent.

The objective of this course is to provide the first responder an understanding of safe operating procedures on the roadway for themselves and public at large. Highway and Traffic related first responder injury and death rates continue to climb. Laws such as the "Move Over Law" have brought national attention to this issue.

The Training Committee and Line Officers thank our members for their commitment to training and Public Safety.
