West Grove Fire Company saw an extraordinary number of calls for help on Thursday, March 14 and Friday, March 15. On Thursday, the members of WGFC covered 8 EMS calls and 4 fire/rescue calls. The Company rescued a woman from a car accident in London Grove, handled an odor investigation in Penn Township, extinguished a large brush fire in Franklin Township and assisted Oxford with a house fire, all within 4 hours in the afternoon. The Company handled 8 EMS calls in the district as well. On Friday, company firefighters and EMTs handled 13 EMS calls in the district, including 4 second emergencies. Volunteers were able to staff the third ambulance to be ready for any further emergencies.
The WGFC officers appreciate the dedication and service of all of our career staff and volunteers who assisted covering the 25 emergencies in the past 40 hour period.
