On February 21, 2013 at 10:43 pm the West Grove Fire Company (Stations 12, 22 & 32) and Cochranville Fire Company (Station 27) were dispatched to the area of 696 N. Guernsey rd in London Grove twp for a reported mobile home fire. The Chester County 911 center received multiple calls reporting the building was fully involved and that the occupants were out of the building. WGFC Fire Police lt. Howard was first on location and confirmed a fully involved mobile home fire. Minutes later Deputy 22 arrived, established N. Guernsey rd command and communicated that it would be a defensive fire attack.

Engine 22 and Engine 27-2 arrived together with orders for the first Engine to drop their 5" supply at the end of the driveway and place their 1.75" pre-connected lines into service. Assistant 27 assumed the Operations role and Deputy 27 assumed manpower. Command requested one additional Tanker which added Avondale Fire Company (Station 23) for a Tanker and an Engine. A tanker shuttle was used for the water supply with Rescue 22 filling the tankers at a hydrant at on Kent Farm Lane. The remaining West Grove, Cochranville and Avondale crews assisted with extinguishment and overhaul. PECO and the Red Cross were requested to the scene. The fire was placed under control at 11:32 pm and crews finally cleared the scene at 12:30am.
